The Songbird fabric is a new signature fabric collection by Jennifer Thomas of Curlicue Creations with Island Batik, Lumin Fabrics, and designed by Jerry Khiev. It is a beautiful collection of fabrics that have a wonderful range of varying hues of purples and pinks with a songbird and floral theme. It includes 20 fabrics that can be mixed and matched to incorporate in your next project.
For this blog hop, I decided to make a crossbody bag using these fabulous fabrics with some foundation fabric accents. I made the On The Go Baby by By Annie. This bag has many pieces and can be a bit complicated but when it is complete, it is perfect for travel. The fabrics looked great on the bag. I chose two of the dark purple fabrics from the collection to use for this bag as well as a foundation fabric for contrast.

In addition to making the bag, I decided to make a few quick placemats highlighting the songbirds on the fabric. These were quick to make and are a perfect decoration for any table during summertime.

Come join me and other creators to celebrate Jennifer's new collection! It is beautiful and can be a great addition to your fabric stash. Curlicue Creations will be offering a giveaway so check out her blog to learn more about the fabrics and the giveaway.

Hello Brianna! Thank you so much for participating in the hop. I love the two projects you made with Songbird. I've made that byAnnie bag, too and use it everyday. It's so handy. It looks awesome in the Songbird fabric with the blue zipper. I like the way you fussy cut the birds for the placemats, too. Have an amazing day!
Pretty bird bag and placemats.
