If you are looking for a fun, quick and easy project, I have something for you. Make some key fobs today. They are easy and great to use as gifts or sell at craft fairs. Use those leftover scraps to make them. Scraps are perfect for key fobs. You do not need a lot of fabric and using leftovers lets you be creative.
I sorted my scraps into color categories and made key fobs with each color hue. If you are making key fobs with a 1" fob, all you need are 4" wide scraps or strips and piece them together to form a 13" long strip. Cut a piece of 4"x13" woven fusible interfacing to back your strip. Press with an iron, fold strip with wrong sides together lengthwise. Open the fold and fold in a second time wrong sides together and raw edges in toward the center fold. Press again. Topstitch an 1/8" along the each edge. Get a key fob, place the two raw edge ends of the fabric strip inside and pinch together using pliers.
I have included a quick video tutorial. Have fun and make some, "Sew Fobulous Key Fobs!". For more videos, subscribe to my Youtube channel today. Thank you.
I recently got a new key fob from a locksmith store and i will surely cover it up with such type of fob covers.
